Lansing, Michigan is the latest US law enforcement jurisdiction to take advantage of the BWI service. With a municipal ordinance in place, the police have made automated reporting mandatory and all 17 shops in that city use the BWI business reporting interface. A key feature, digital fingerprint capture of pawnshop customers, has been implemented in this city.
